I know it probably seems like I’ve been talking about my morning routine a lot lately, but there’s a very good reason for it:
This time of year, my morning rituals are my sanctuary. They help keep my sanity while all the other craziness continues to go on around me.
And what kind of craziness do I mean? Well, for example, the end of a year is a big time for a food blogger like me, full of deadlines and schedules and last minute opportunities that are simply too good to pass up. So, in other words, work. I’m working quite a bit this holiday season. And, of course, this is all in addition to wrangling the typical holiday madness of family and festivities and friends.
These days, that is how I spend 90% of my day: work, plan, work, plan.
But as for that precious 10% that’s tucked at the beginning of my day? Lately, it’s been reserved for my morning jolt with Shamrock Farms Cold Brew Coffee and Milk.
And even though we’re only talking about 10% of my day, that 10% ends up making all the difference. When I wake up, I like to read a little from my current book before rolling out of bed. It’s so small, but there’s something about it that helps me get my thoughts rolling. Then I grab my robe, head downstairs, and make sure the dogs are taken care of. I might talk to the dogs for a bit (because yes, I am that person) and give them each a treat for existing and being cute. I’ll say goodbye to The Husband and quickly finish up a few chores.
But then, finally, the morning is all mine, at least for a little while. And I treasure these few moments, just for me, before all the craziness starts in my day, with Shamrock Farms Cold Brew Coffee and Milk.
I like to think of myself as an ice coffee connoisseur, so there are a few key differences Shamrock Farms Cold Brew Coffee and Milk that stood out for me. For one, it’s smoother and has a less acidic taste that other cold brew coffees I’ve tried. This is probably due to the quality Shamrock farms milk (my favorite brand) and pairing it with 100% Colombian coffee.
Plus, if you’re looking for an extra dose of efficiency to your morning, Shamrock Farms Cold Brew Coffee and Milk has 2x the caffeine. I don’t know about you, but I can use all the extra help I can get!
So, if you’re anything like me and feeling a little overwhelmed this holiday season, take my advice: make sure you leave time for yourself to get ready for your day. It doesn’t have to be a lot – even a few minutes each day could be enough – but make sure that you are in a good place before taking on the world. Take a moment and savor something that not only makes you happy but gives you the energy you need to tackle the day.
