We’re only a few days away from the biggest sporting event of the year, and you know what’s on my mind?
Because, well, food blog. But also, any time there’s a social event my mind immediately starts running through all the delicious appetizers and party snack possibilities. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember, and now that I get to wear the chef’s hat, I’m even more excited to see what’s on the menu.
Because now I get to engineer that menu.
As for this year, an old friend of mine and I will be watching the big game over at the neighbor’s house… but between you and me, I feel a tiny bit bad about it. And it’s not that I mind going over to their house – I’m 1000% okay with that – it’s just that we’ve had quite a few get-togethers lately and they’ve all been at their house. Which, again, I’m totally okay with, but it also means that our good neighbors are dealing with the greater share of providing food and party cleanup.
So for this weekend, I have every intention of bringing over some party food. Whether it’s something I bake before going (because, you guys, they are seriously across the street from us – barring a stiff wind, the food will still be piping hot when I get there) or bringing over a dish they can throw in their oven, I totally plan to pull my weight this time.
And as for the easiest way to accomplish that? A baking dish full of delicious savory sliders, of course.
I still haven’t decided which dish I’ll be making this weekend, but I know for sure that it’ll be one of the gems from the list below. Hopefully this list will help you plan your rocking game day party menu, too!
