About Bagel Dip
Ever since I started this little food blog, there’s been one significant change in my life: I get to “talk food” with people. And I don’t just mean the next best restaurant or general all-time favorites – what I’m talking about is tried-and-true, ultra-secret recipes from the family vault. I think everyone has a few of these recipes hidden away, and since recipes are now “my thing,” my friends have begun sharing them with me.
The only downside? I’m horrible at planning ahead, so I haven’t been able to get my act together to share a fraction of the recipes that have been shared with me.
One such recipe was given to me by my esthetician, who over the past year has become a good friend. She’s always interested to hear what I’m making for the blog, and has given me some great ideas for recipes, many of which are staples from her hometown in the upper peninsula of Michigan (or Yooper, as she called it). But, as I said above, I’ve been a total slacker on the follow through, so she’s been patiently waiting for the day when I finally get my act together and send her a link (plus a review!) of a recipe she sent me.
Well, that day has finally come, because with the big game only a few days away, I simply had to make this ultimate party food:
Ultra creamy and savory and absolutely divine Bagel Dip.
Regulars of this blog will already know how much I adore appetizers and dips, but this was my first foray into a savory dip.
And though I had a classic Yooper recipe on hand, the real star of the show was one of the key ingredients: Shamrock Farm’s Premium Sour Cream.
Party dips are always a crowd-pleaser, and when you’re feeding a crowd (especially during a sports event – emotions may be running high!) it’s always a bonus when and easy dish can also be made of quality ingredients. Shamrock Farm’s Premium Sour Cream begins with pure, wholesome, nutritious milk with no added growth hormones. They also go through rigorous purity testing, and are cold packaged and shipped to arrive fresh, fast, and delicious, ensuring that all your culinary creations (both easy and complex) have the best possible taste. Shamrock Farm’s Premium Sour Cream also has a smooth and creamy texture, making it perfect for smooth and easy dipping.
Becuase, you guys, once you taste this dip, that’s all you’re going to want to do – grab the next piece of bagel and scoop up more dip.
I have every intention of bringing this dip with me to the party on Sunday, but man – it’s going to be so hard to share.
So, what about you?
What are your plans for the big game? What would you make with Shamrock Farm’s Premium Sour Cream that your party guests would love? It’s also sold in Creamy Ranch, French
What would you make with Shamrock Farm’s Premium Sour Creamso many possibilities!
I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments!

Every bagel needs a good dip or spread. This one sounds wonderful and really simple to make. Will have to give it a try the next time we buy bagels. 🙂

Oh, looks so tasty!
I love to use dip when eating chips or vegetables (healthy variant).
My neighbors were dipping veggies in the dip – they liked it! So it can definitely work both ways 😀
This dip looks really good and fun and simple to make. I will have to try it sometime. Thank you for sharing!
wow – this looks great – totally trying – honestly never heard of bagel dip!
Yum! This looks amazing. I never thought to use bagels cut up with dip. I will at my next brunch for sure now.
I have never tried bagel dip before but I find myself wanting it! I wish I would have come across this sooner, I would have whipped some up for the Super Bowl. The family always gathers by my sister’s and we all watch the big game in my brother-in-law’s “man cave”. I know this would have been a hit with them. I might have to use it for Easter. Sounds amazing!
