An easy-to-make side dish for any occasion, this broccoli salad has a simple dressing of mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar over crisp broccoli, bacon, and cheese.
‣ 1 cup mayonnaise ‣ 1/3 cup granulated sugar ‣ 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar ‣ 5 cups broccoli florets ‣ 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese ‣ 1/2 cup sunflower kernels ‣ 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (roughly 1/2 cup) ‣ 1/2 cup raisins ‣ 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
In a large bowl, whisk together the following ingredients: mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the other ingredients to the bowl: broccoli florets, cheddar cheese, sunflower kernels, bacon, raisins, and red onion.
Pour the dressing onto the salad ingredients.
Use a spatula to gently toss ingredients and coat everything in the dressing.
