With a flavorful blend of green onion, garlic, lemon, and cayenne pepper all mixed in a creamy base, this green onion dip is a deliciously easy go-to appetizer.
‣ 1 teaspoon olive oil ‣ 5 green onions, chopped, plus more for garnish ‣ 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced ‣ 8 ounces cream cheese, softened ‣ 1 cup sour cream ‣ 1 teaspoon lemon juice ‣ 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper ‣ 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste ‣ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste ‣ mild chips or veggies, for dipping
1
In a small skillet, heat the olive oil and cook the green onion and garlic until lightly charred (or to a doneness of your liking).
2
Transfer the cooked green onion and garlic to a food processor, as well as the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, sea salt, and black pepper.
3
Blend everything together until smooth and creamy. Once done, chill the dip for about an hour so that the flavors can set in.
