INGREDIENTS

‣ 1 1/4 cup water, divided ‣ 1/4 cup soy sauce ‣ 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed ‣ 2 tablespoon honey ‣ 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger ‣ 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder ‣ 2 tablespoon cornstarch

In a small saucepan, cook and whisk one cup of water with the soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and garlic powder.

MIX THE SAUCE

While the sauce comes to a boil, whip up some slurry by whisking the water and cornstarch together.

Once the saucepan is boiling, pour in the slurry.

Whisk and cook the sauce until it’s thick enough to your liking (it should easily coat the back of a spoon).
