These lemon pepper chicken wings are freshly fried and coated in melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning. Perfect as party food or a quick weeknight dinner!
‣ 3 pound chicken wings ‣ 4 cup vegetable oil, or enough to fill skillet 2-4 inches deep ‣ 1 teaspoon salt ‣ 1 cup all-purpose flour ‣ 1/4 cup salted butter, melted ‣ 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning ‣ 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped ‣ lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
1
In a large skillet, pour in vegetable oil so that it’s at least two inches deep (I typically use a whole 48oz bottle) and then heat it up until it’s 375 degrees F
2
While the oil heats, add the flour and salt to a large Ziploc bag. Add the chicken wings to the bag with the flour mixture, seal it up, and then give the bag a good shake.
3
Drop the coated chicken wings in the hot oil and fry them to golden brown perfection. Once cooked, transfer the chicken wings to a plate or bowl lined with a paper towel.
4
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the lemon pepper seasoning. Use a basting brush to coat the chicken wings, making sure to get both sides.
