Soft and chewy sugar cookie bars topped with fluffy maple cream cheese frosting and festive sprinkles. Perfect sweet tooth snacking for chilly weather holidays.

INGREDIENTS

‣ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened ‣ 4 ounce cream cheese, softened ‣ 1 cup granulated sugar ‣ 1 teaspoon almond extract ‣ 2 eggs, large ‣ 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour ‣ 2 teaspoon cornstarch ‣ 1 teaspoon baking powder ‣ 1/4 teaspoon salt

Using a stand mixer (or hand mixer + large bowl), whip up the following ingredients: unsalted butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Blend in the eggs and almond extract, then mix in all of the dry ingredients.

MIX THE BATTER

Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray, then pour the batter in. Spread the dough out into an even layer.

Let the cookie bars cook completely in the pan before frosting.

When ready to frost, prepare the frosting. Whip together the cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and maple syrup to the bowl, then whip until the frosting is light and fluffy.

MIX THE FROSTING
