This picture-perfect holiday ham is coated with a brown sugar orange glaze and garnished with vibrant pomegranate seeds, orange zest, and chopped parsley.
‣ 9 pounds spiral cut bone-in ham, or up to 12 pounds ‣ 2 cups orange juice ‣ 2 cups light brown sugar, packed ‣ 1 cup honey ‣ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ‣ 2 tablespoons orange zest, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1 cup pomegranate seeds, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, brown sugar, honey, and cinnamon. Mix it all together until the brown sugar has dissolved.
Remove the ham from the packaging and set it in a roasting pan. Pour half of the orange mixture on top, then send it off to bake!
When the ham is almost done, add the other half of the orange mixer to a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil. Cook, whisking constantly, until the glaze has thickened, then set it aside to cool slightly.
When the ham has finished baking, pour the thickened glaze over the ham.
Once glazed, garnish the ham with orange zest, pomegranate seeds, and parsley (all optional).
