‣ 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour ‣ 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar ‣ 1 pinch fine sea salt ‣ 2/4 cup salted butter, softened ‣ 1 cup granulated sugar ‣ 3 tablespoon whole milk ‣ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ‣ 1 teaspoon peppermint extract, or to taste ‣ 1 cup white chocolate chips, optional ‣ 1/3 cup peppermints, crushed
1
To ensure food safety, spread the flour out on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. Allow the flour to cool before moving on to the next steps.
2
Using a stand mixer (or hand mixer + large bowl), cream together the butter, granulated sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until smooth.
3
Add the baked flour, powdered sugar, and salt to the bowl, then mix until a smooth dough forms.
4
Remove the bowl from the mixer and use a spatula to fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed peppermints.
