Soaked in a delicious homemade teriyaki marinade to tender perfection, these teriyaki beef skewers make for an easy appetizer or a savory weeknight dinner.
‣ 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed ‣ 1/4 cup soy sauce ‣ 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar ‣ 2 tablespoon vegetable oil ‣ 2 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced ‣ 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced ‣ 1/4 teaspoon salt ‣ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper ‣ 1 1/2 pound top round steak, cut thin ‣ 1 scallion, chopped, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1 red chile pepper, sliced thin, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish (optional) ‣ 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, homemade for store-bought, for serving (optional)

In a large bowl, prepare the marinade by mixing the brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.

Add the strips of top round steak to the bowl, then toss them in the marinade until coated. Once done, cover the bowl and marinate the beef for two hours.

Thread the strips of beef on the skewers. With this much meat, you should be able to make 15-20 skewers. Once done, send them off to grill!
